Washington, DC, is known around the world as a capital for politics and partisanship. Opportunity DC wants the District to be known as a world-class example of shared prosperity and effective local governance.

The District’s prosperity over the last 25 years can be credited to leaders who have been guided by evidence and empathy – not ideology. Now, however, the District’s economic and social health is at risk. Too many Washingtonians feel unsafe, unseen, and unsupported. Our central business district’s future is uncertain.

Those of us who live, work, and do business in DC see the challenges firsthand and have ideas for how to address them. We’re here to share our perspectives with elected officials and policymakers.
